The SA Sports Fever Crossbow offers many of the features that any hunter would want. The crossbow has a 175 pound draw weight and the arrow speeds produced are up to 250 feet per second. In addition, it has a scope that is weaver-style and adjustable. The automatic safety is ambidextrous to help prevent shooting the bow accidently. In the package along with the sports fever crossbow you will receive a scope that measures 4 by 32, a quiver that can be quickly detached, and four arrows. There is also a rope cocking device and a shoulder sling that is padded for comfort.

Safety Latch

One of the nice features of this particular bow is that it is extremely lightweight, coming in at around five pounds. This makes it extremely easy to carry around with you on your hunting trips. Another good thing about this particular crossbow is the fact that it has an ambidextrous safety on it. This safety will be automatically engaged every time a person cocks the bow. This is important for users who may not have a lot of experience using a crossbow as it ensures it is not going to go off automatically.

The construction of the crossbow is quite good. Despite the low price of the item, it does not appear to be cheaply made. The draw of this bow is a bit heavy, but despite this heaviness the rope cocking device helps to maximize your leverage, which almost cuts the weight in half. This makes the crossbow much easier to cock. Every time the bow is cocked the safety will engage fully as you will hear the click. The safety can then be disengaged from either the right or left side.

The trigger on the crossbow is very nice and is better than even some triggers on rifles. There is a slight hint of a take up and then the trigger will break cleanly at about an estimated six or seven pounds. The sports fever crossbow is comfortable to hold and lightweight. There is also a palm swell located on the forearm, which is a nice touch for added comfort.

Conclusion

This particular crossbow has received many good ratings overall. Most of the hunters that have purchased the sports fever crossbow are very happy with their purchase. The bow is light and compact, which makes it easy to carry. In addition, it is very easy to cock. For the price of about $140 this crossbow is a good starter bow for people that are new to the sport. There are not a lot of bells and whistles that come with this crossbow and it is very easy to use. Some hunters have complained that it does not shoot extremely straight, but that can be adjusted rather easily. In addition, it may be difficult to find some of the smaller arrows to use for this bow. For the price, this is a good crossbow made by SA Sports.
